Question by natethomas2003: Is there a connection between being sexually abused as a child and becoming an adult sex offender?

A group of my peers and I are conducting research for our university in which we are trying to identify a connection between sexual abuse as a child and what contribution that has to becoming an adult sex offender. If anybody has any information available regarding this topic specifically we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance and top answer rewarded!
Well we appreciate your concern but I promise this is for legitimate research. You are very correct about this information being available on campus. However, this is information which is commonly viewed. We are looking for those "topic specific" articles. My online inquiry was merely an attempt to find links to additional information. The statistics say about one third of abused people grow up to abuse........the statistics are everywhere , anywhere is psychology, social work papers, articles, statistics, domestic violence centers should give you a lot of resources, crisis centers, mental health centers, hospitals,

so i find it hard to believe in a university you can not find your answers.......right there.........just talk to a counselor
